Fanning The Flames in 2025

If you’ve been around for some time, you know that I kick off each new year with Kat Gordon’s visioning exercises to determine what Campfire Collective should look like in 12 months. With my vision and framework in place, I work on our strategic plan for the year and get the whole team on board for the ride with setting goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).

2022 was all about a fresh face, growth, and splashy projects. 2023 focused on new roles within the company to support our growth. In 2024, we honed our internal tools, announced a few community partnerships, and found the right partners to support Campfire Collective in much-needed areas such as human resources and accounting. 

Now, for 2025, I don’t want to spoil too many surprises, because we do have some BIG irons in the fire. But, I can tell you that we plan to spend intentional time deep diving into our systems and processes to get organized and set a super-solid foundation for future growth. Our plans include  new ways to establish clear goals, expectations, and KPIs for each team member, our team as a whole, our company, and our client work. 

As you know, we love working with clients that have a community-focused mindset when it comes to business. With comprehensive and efficient  systems and processes in place, we will be able to take on more clients and campaigns that invest in communities, as well as larger scale projects. 

A huge shout-out goes to our Wayfinder Millie who has been instrumental in planning for these big changes. She brings years of operations and systems expertise to our team, and I can see her magic already working behind the scenes. I also want to recognize the entire team for their patience as we navigate major internal shifts and for their enthusiasm as we steer Campfire Collective onward to new adventures. 

You may not see much difference at first from the outside looking in, except I hope to have fewer gray hairs, but know that we are all busy bees behind the scenes. We’re doing that core foundational work to set our current and future clients up for ultimate marketing success. 

My one word intention for 2025 is stability. Keeping this word in the forefront of all of my yearly plans, I envision Campfire Collective having the ultimate solid foundation from which to grow and thrive. 

And who knows? There may be a splashy announcement at some point too. 👀
