A native of Mississippi, Gaye is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in Communications. After moving to Memphis in 1988, she began her career in public relations and communications, working mostly in the financial industry. Gaye began freelancing as a balance between staying at home with her children and needing a creative outlet.
As a creative copywriter, Gaye specializes in professional and engaging content writing. Her goal is to reflect the tone, style, and image that her clients want to project. Her portfolio includes website content, magazine articles, press releases, email marketing, blog entries, and newsletters. Gaye is also proficient in proofreading and editing. “I love to write and I have fun doing it,” she says. “I especially enjoy building relationships with clients as we work together to craft just the right piece.” With over 20 years of experience behind her, Gaye has worked with designers, editors, small business owners, marketing professionals, non-profits, educational institutions, and more.
When she’s not working, Gaye loves to try new Memphis restaurants – and revisit old favorites. As empty-nesters, she and her husband enjoy traveling, cooking, and spending time with their grown twins, a son and a daughter. An avid reader, Gaye is most often found with a book in her hand. She also enjoys watching sports and proudly cheers on the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
