South Point Grocery Celebrates Three Years with the Return of Live Music Series

Downtown Memphis’ favorite neighborhood grocery store is turning three! South Point Grocery is thrilled to celebrate its third anniversary by bringing back one of its most beloved traditions—the live music series on the patio.

Starting March 22, 2025, downtown residents, workers, families, and music lovers can enjoy free live performances on select Saturdays throughout the year. The series will kick off with a performance by Jesse Wilcox at 12-2pm, with a lineup of talented local musicians scheduled for upcoming Saturdays, including Jeff Hulett and Steve Lockwood & Old Dogs.

“We are thrilled to be celebrating three years of serving our downtown community,” said Rick James, Owner of South Point Grocery. “We want to create a fun, memorable experience for all of our patrons, and everyone seems to love the live music series. It’s something we definitely have in mind to replicate when the new South Point Grocery location opens at Silo Square in Southaven.”

Since opening in 2022, South Point Grocery has become more than just a grocery store—it’s a gathering place for the downtown community. With a wide selection of fresh produce, specialty items, and a full-service deli, the store has been a go-to for both everyday essentials and unique local favorites. The return of the live music series adds to the store’s welcoming atmosphere, giving customers a chance to grab a sandwich from the deli, sip a beer, and enjoy some of Memphis’ best local talent while they shop. South Point Grocery also grills up hot dogs, hamburgers, rotisserie chickens, and other goodies for sale on their covered patio to accompany the free music.
