Memphis, TN (January 29, 2025) - Welcome to Memphis (WTM), a subsidiary of Memphis Tourism, is celebrating another round of hospitality heroes with the announcement of its quarterly Pick Award honorees. The Pick Awards recognize professionals who deliver authentic Memphis hospitality, are knowledgeable about their city, and show pride in the 901.

The First Quarterly 2025 Pick Award Honorees are:

• Tour Guide: Beverly Becton-Robinson, Memphis Airport Authority, Delta Gate Agent

• Attractions: Connie Cason, National Civil Rights Museum, Guest Services Representative

• Hotel: Alexandra Welch, Holiday Inn-University of Memphis, Front Desk Agent

• Restaurant: Marlon Jackson, Exline’s Pizza, Shift Leader

WTM will honor the best in Memphis hospitality at a University of Memphis basketball game on February 9, 2025, at the FedEx Forum. The celebration will take place on center court, where Pick Award winners will join WTM for a game ball presentation. WTM will also host a table in the concourse to share information about the ways it supports the Memphis hospitality and tourism industry.

To further celebrate outstanding hospitality professionals, WTM hosts individual award presentations at each honoree’s place of employment each quarter.

“These guest-facing employees are making the most of their careers, and it’s a privilege to celebrate them in a big public way,” said Welcome to Memphis Executive Director Marcus Cox. “I hope people see that we are here supporting the hospitality industry, and one meaningful way we do that is by connecting local job seekers with career opportunities.”
